Mannai Retail Group opened one of the worlds largest BhS stores in Moscow’s leading shopping area; The Arbart with RM6000.

The 40,000 square foot store has been equipped with over 30 ICL TeamPos 5000 tills running Sandmar POSXpress tilling software. The Sandmar retail software is one of only a small number of Western software packages to be fully registered with the Russian Government, meeting the fiscal taxation requirements. The success of the store has been quickly followed, by a second store in the Moscow suburbs and further stores are already planned. The Sandmar retail system provides front office tilling through to back office inventory replenishment systems linked by an ISDN network for fast communications. All of the tills are linked via Sandmar CardPay software to a local card service company, United Card Services for on-line credit and debit card authorisation.

The Sandmar retail system is being integrated with the BhS replenishment systems in the UK, via software developed by Sandmar for management of the order and supply process. Fashion products are ordered electronically from the UK and shipped directly to one of several warehouses in Moscow. Supply information is received electronically from the UK and details are automatically integrated into the main Moscow retail product data base, where cost prices are calculated and individual store replenishment determined. The electronic ordering system known as BhSI is available for use with all BhS stores world-wide.
